The Story Isn't Over
Art Series - Nine Artworks
This series was exhibited at Ontario Shores in the month of September, 2024. Then, Inner Clarity and Soul In Bloom was curated to be part of a group exhibition at Ontario Shores in the month of October, 2024.
This art series is an intimate exploration of the multifaceted experience of mental health, presented through a series of expressive artworks that mirror the stages of healing. Each piece in the collection represents a distinct phase of this journey—from the darkness of despair and isolation, through the turbulent process of self-discovery, to the eventual emergence into light, hope, and empowerment. This show invites viewers to walk alongside Sam, as she navigates the complexities of inner struggle, resilience, and transformation, offering a visual narrative of pain, growth, and ultimately, self-liberation. Through vibrant colours, dynamic compositions, and deeply personal symbolism, the exhibition seeks to not only express Samantha's own healing process but also to inspire and resonate with others on their paths to mental wellness.
Giving back:
Samantha is someone who has gone through the long and challenging process of a healing journey, and still constantly finds herself practicing what she has learned. She would love to be able to donate a portion of any sales made from paintings from this series to Workman Arts. Workman Arts is a multidisciplinary arts organization that promotes a greater understanding of mental health and addiction issues through creation and presentation. They are empowering artists with lived experience while challenging and advancing perspectives on mental health.
The Quote Box - Part of The Exhibition:
This box is where you can leave quotes that mean a lot to you. They can be quotes that have helped you through a hard time, or even a happy time. I want to collect real quotes, from real people. These quotes will be put in my next project for mental health. I am making a colouring book, with quotes and affirmations that I will use as inspiration to create images that people can colour in. Quotes will remain anonymous. During my own mental health journey, I found art therapy very soothing, especially the colouring books.
