Meet The Artist

My name is Sammie Tzambazis

I am a self-taught, 27 year old artist with a passion for creating. When I was in preschool, my favourite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I decided to explore different mediums. My favourite medium is pencil/charcoal. I use acrylics, resin, and alcohol inks. I also have started in the digital world, creating logos and digital paintings. Creating is my favourite thing to do, so I decided to make it my business! So, in the year 2020 is when Art As Imagined was born. Although I am self taught, I do have a certificate from Durham College in the Fine Arts. I also decided it is time to go to college at Centennial College for graphic design to expand my knowledge. Some upcoming projects to look out for is an adult colouring book for mental health. In addition to a colouring book, I am working on creating a blog with many different categories. One key category will talk about my journey to deciding to have a career in art, and how my physical disability and mental health played a big role. I will also talk about why and how the colouring book project is important for art therapy, and can help someone with their mental health journey. Of course there will be many more topics to talk about, time lapse videos of my art, and some tips for creating!Thank you for reading a small background of myself, and I look forward to creating your vision!
